Story is about a middle class girl Thulsi who is cursed by her own father as her mother had deserted him after her birth. Father remarries and has son and daughter from his second wife. Thulsi is ill treated by her step mother and her only solace is her grandmother. As the story progress she marries her love interest, Ranjeeth much against her family wishes. Tulsi does not have happy ending infact her struggle starts as her mother-in-law and sister-in-law poses a problem and also her dreams of becoming educated becomes difficult.
